No cable… the joys of youtube
March 31st, 2008
I turned off my cable about a month ago, so that I wouldn’t end up watching TV when I needed to be working on the house or my trip. Of course… these days there are many other things to fill the void. I discovered the joys of youtube recently and decided to post a couple of videos that I enjoyed.

A great Top Gear episode:

Reading Recommendations?
March 24th, 2008
I’m hoping to get some book recommendations for the trip. Fiction or non-fiction is fine with me. If you have any suggestions feel free to comment on this post with your ideas. I’ll be picking up a couple of books ahead of the trip to keep me from boredom during the flight(s) etc.
I found the following site, which I’m using to keep track of books that I’ve read and want to read. Check it out: Shane’s Books

5.5 Business Days Left
March 20th, 2008
I’m posting at mid-day… I must not have enough work to do. Or perhaps I’m slowly withdrawing from direct participation in my project activities. I’m confident that others will pick up some of the torches and carry on
It’s probably better that they get used to the fact that I won’t be around… hopefully they’re not planning on going cold turkey.

Welcome
March 19th, 2008
Welcome to my travel blog. At this point I haven’t traveled beyond my kitchen, but I’ll get there. In the short term I have to get all of my affairs in order and everything prepared to get the heck out of dodge.
I’ve still got a bit of work ahead of me between transitioning my work responsibilities and putting the finishing touches on my home improvements. The house starts showing next week… so there is a lot to do.
Check back here for regular updates.
